What’s in the Cooler? Everything You Need to Know Before You Board

Introduction:

You’ve booked your trip with Ricky Business Charters—now what? Whether it’s your first time on a boat or you’re a lifelong angler, preparation is the key to a great day on the water. We handle the hard work, but here is a breakdown of what we provide and what you should bring to ensure a 5-star experience.

What Ricky Business Provides (The All-Inclusive Experience):

We pride ourselves on being a "turn-key" charter service. When you step on the boat, we have already taken care of:

Licensing: No need to buy a Georgia DNR fishing license; our commercial boat license covers everyone on board.

Premium Gear: We use high-quality rods, reels, and fresh terminal tackle.

Bait & Ice: Whether we’re using live shrimp or cut bait, it’s fresh and ready to go.

Fish Cleaning: If you catch a "keeper," we’ll filet and bag it for you back at the dock so it’s ready for the grill.

Your Checklist (What to Bring):

Sun Protection: Polarized sunglasses, a hat, and non-spray sunscreen (spray makes the deck slippery!).

Snacks & Drinks: We have plenty of ice, but feel free to bring your favorite lunch or beverages.

The "No Banana" Rule: It might sound like a tall tale, but bananas are bad luck on a fishing boat! Leave the fruit at the dock.

Appropriate Footwear:

Please wear non-marking, light-colored soles to keep the boat looking sharp.
